Myocardial perfusion MRI compared to fractional flow reserve: a meta-analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Methods This meta-analysis was performed in adherence to the PRISMA statement. Two reviewers systematically searched PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science, using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Only studies using invasive coronary angiography combined with FFR for assessment of intermediate coronary stenoses were included. The QUADAS-2 criteria were applied for quality appraisal. A random-effects model was used for computing pooled sensitivity, specificity, likelihood ratios, and the diagnostic odds ratio. Analyses were performed on both vessel and patient levels.

Diagnostic accuracy of stress myocardial perfusion imaging compared to invasive coronary angiography with fractional flow reserve meta-analysis.
BACKGROUND Hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease is an important indication for revascularization. Stress myocardial perfusion imaging is a noninvasive alternative to invasive fractional flow reserve for evaluating hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease. The aim was to determine the diagnostic accuracy of myocardial perfusion imaging by single-photon emission computed...
متن کاملWill 3D at 3-T make myocardial stress perfusion magnetic resonance imaging even more competitive?
Currently, two-dimensional (2D) adenosine stress myocardial perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses 3 to 4 cardiac slices to cover the left ventricular myocardium. Although the performance of 2D adenosine stress myocardial perfusion MRI has been shown to be equal or even better compared with single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) because of its superior image resolut...
متن کاملMeta-analysis of fractional flow reserve versus quantitative coronary angiography and noninvasive imaging for evaluation of myocardial ischemia.
We performed a meta-analysis of 31 studies comparing the results of fractional flow reserve (FFR) against quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) and/or noninvasive imaging of the same lesions. Studies were retrieved from PubMed (last search February 2006). Across 18 studies (1,522 lesions), QCA had a random effects sensitivity of 78% (95% confidence interval [CI] 67 to 86) and specificity of 5...
متن کاملDiagnostic accuracy of combined intracoronary pressure and flow velocity information during baseline conditions: adenosine-free assessment of functional coronary lesion severity.
BACKGROUND The assessment of functional coronary lesion severity using intracoronary physiological parameters such as coronary flow velocity reserve and the more widely used fractional flow reserve relies critically on the establishment of maximal hyperemia. We evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of the stenosis resistance index during nonhyperemic conditions, baseline stenosis resistance index, ...
متن کاملBlood oxygen level dependent and adenosine-perfusion imaging correlates to invasive measurement of fractional flow reserve
Background It has been shown that blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is able to detect myocardial perfusion differences. However, validation of BOLD CMR against myocardial perfusion reserve (MPR) and fractional flow reserve (FFR) is lacking. We sought to analyze the potential diagnostic accuracy of BOLD CMR in comparison to invasively measured FFR which...
